The [Sales Clerk/Sewing Instructor] will report to [Assistant Manager, Store Manager, & Owners].

Job Overview

As a Sales Clerk/Sewing Instructor, you are essential to normal operations at our Education & Event Center. By providing an extra hand & extra help you will work closely to see that tasks are completed. You may be asked to complete duties that managers may not have the appropriate time for. We ask that you are flexible to perform various tasks. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Cutting & assembling fabric for both customers & machine demo-use
• Checking that machines are ready to demo each day, and providing samples nearby for discussion
• Assisting any and all superiors’ needs
• Vacuums, clean bathrooms, and takes out trash regularly
• Being a nearby helper for class sizes that exceed store manager or assistant manager’s limits
• Greets customers
• Answers phone
• Restocks products when delivered (you won’t need to update quantities in the system, someone else will cover that)
• Assist in check-out through Shopify (training will be provided by Nick)

Qualifications

• Sewing, embroidery, home decor or quilting background experience
• Familiar with Baby Lock interface
• Cutting/Pressing Ability
• Social Skills
• Ability to transfer materials & products between both stores
• Helpful & Flexible
