Attach quilt binding accurately using your favorite sewing machine stitches. This foot accommodates the difference in thickness between the body of a quilt and the attached binding. The underside of the foot has a deeper section and section with regular thickness. The regular thickness section is designed to be just outside of the 7mm stitch width, allowing for uniform and precisely-spaced top-stitching.

The groove on the bottom of this foot helps with binding thickness!

I tried out this foot in a class (not sure I would have purchased otherwise), but found that it worked much better with the extra thickness of the binding. The only thing I would love more, if the groove would help guide the foot more, but still it is a useful foot, I am just spoiled with my 1/4" foot. :)

Binding Foot

This foot fits right up to the binding to get a perfect straight stitch. Taking the feet class with Shirlene was a learning treat, I sewed with feet I already had that I would have used if I had known what they were used for. Thanks Shirlene!!
